no its mine
So I searched the Nutella tag and literally the first 7 posts were all the exact same picture of a cookie dipped in Nutella and I was legitimately scared that every post was going to be that same picture and I thought

why
I’ve been replaying my old copy of pokemon yellow lately and I forgot just how agonizing the move wrap was, bellsprouts and tentacools are seriously my worst nightmare in this game
finding cool stuff on your dash but not reblogging it because you don’t have many followers but also not being able to find cool enough stuff to reblog on your own

like on a normal day I’m pretty indifferent towards football but just look at this guy

he’s just like I FUCKING LOVE GRASS
BEFRIENDING… BEFRIENDING… CONGRATULATION. WE ARE FRIEND.
Okay so I WISH THEY WERE MAKING GEN 3 REMAKES RIGHT NOW UGH
Like yeah gen 6 that’s cool or whatever just so long as it’s not as linear as the last game; but seriously, I think this is a legitimate concern: Ruby and Sapphire—as of this year—came out ten years ago. Black and White came out two years ago as of this year. There’s been a four year difference between every other generation so far, so why put the next one out early? I like pokemon but I feel like the games themselves are starting to lose consistency. And I feel like gen three was SUPER consistent and the most solid. Gen five felt too linear and restrictive and did not feel creative (extra features: secret bases vs c-gear… secret bases hands down, the c-gear was shit, like black & white social features were so pointless compared to past ones. the mixing records thing was super intuitive! and the underground tunnels in gen four were really fun!) so I think it’s valid to worry that gen six might feel rushed, which I don’t want to happen.
I dunno, basically gen three was like perfect and like the height of pokemon goodness and gen four was okay (also consistent I thought but the rock climb shit and the vs seeker again which I always found less reliable than the pokegear… meh, definitely didn’t help it. still played the hell out of it though because I felt there was enough reason to run around the region and deep secrets to find. None of that in black and white though). That’s why I’m kind of worried because gen five was not nearly as good a gaming experience (I liked the pokemon themselves well enough though), and I don’t want gen six to be that way.
So I’m excited for gen six but I feel like it would be so beneficial to remake gen three first and remind gamefreak what made a great pokemon game before tackling a whole new region.
But I guess we’ll see. Thanks for the ask! :)
